Slopes 100k Vertical Challenge Winners Announced!

Slopes announced PSIA-AASI member Aiden Roulleux of Stowe Ski & Snowboard School in Vermont as the winner of the 100k Vertical Challenge. Held throughout January, the challenge measured how much vertical PSIA-AASI members could ski and snowboard, including lift rides, runs, vertical feet, and in a fun celebration of the socialization inherent to snowsports, who could ride with the most friends.

The Slopes app lets you track your days skiing and riding on your iPhone, Android, or Apple Watch, and this season more than 1,000 PSIA-AASI members got in on the fun. Everyone who skied or rode 100,000 feet during the month of January and tracked their progress on the Slopes app received a Slopes Premium Annual Pass as a reward for all those turns.

Aiden won the Vertical Challenge – and a fresh pair of PSIA-AASI Official Supplier Atomic x-Redster Q9.8 skis – by recording 600,111.48 vertical feet during the month. Aiden also won the “My Life Is a Lift Ride” challenge, along with a PSIA-AASI Official Supplier The North Face Basecamp Duffle, by catching 107 lift rides to make all those turns.

Nick Dawson won a Transpack Competition Pro Gear Bag in the “Here for the Long Run,” challenge by logging 25,705 feet (7,835 meters) in one run at Big Sky Resort on Jan. 2. Charles Li won the “Social Butterfly” challenge and a TNF Ventrix Jacket by riding with 10 Slopes friends, and William Young scored a pair of Anon Goggles in the “Runs, Forrest. Runs!” challenge by recording 131 individual runs.
