Keeping Up with Good Nutrition During Recovery
In this podcast, Makayla Meixner discusses the importance of being nutrient-conscious during recovery from athletic activity. Makayla, a health nutritionist and AASI-certified Level I snowboard instructor, details how keeping up with your calorie intake and eating three meals a day — along with a timely snack — can help your body recover quicker. Makayla has been a guest on the First Chair Podcast before. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition and is a registered sports dietitian who works primarily with winter sports athletes.
