First Tea Talk of 2024 to Feature Alpine Racer Steven Nyman

Registration is now open for the first Tea Talk of 2024, in which host Stacey Gerrish will interview alpine ski racer, instructor, and philanthropist Steven Nyman.

Taking place Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 6-7 p.m. MT, in this free online event, Stacey will talk to Steven about an incredible career in which he was the longest-tenured alpine racer on the U.S. Ski Team from 2002-23.

Steven was the captain of the U.S. Men’s Speed Team and one of the most successful downhill racers in American history. In 2016, he set an American Downhill record by finishing on the podium four times in a row (Pyeong Chang, South Korea; Chamonix, France; Kvitfjell, Norway; and St. Moritz, Switzerland).

He stayed energized throughout his career by seeking adventure on and off the race hill. Whether heli-skiing in Alaska, Chile, or New Zealand, skiing the famed Vallee Blanche in Chamonix post-podium performance, mono-skiing the Sella Ronda in the Dolomites, or climbing the iconic Super C Couloir while training in Portillo, Chile.

Steven is a four-time Olympian, three-time World Cup Winner, 11-time World Cup podium finisher, member of eight World Championship Teams, and a World Junior Champion. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School, and his philanthropic endeavors include SOS Outreach, Youth Sports Appliance, Protect Our Winters, and U.S. Ski Team. He is PSIA-AASI Alpine Level III and American Avalanche Institute Level 1 certified.

Registration closes Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m. MT.
